Course Description

This ICAgile certification course provides you with Portfolio Management and Program Management approaches to maximize the value produced by your products. The class will introduce the subject of scaling and will provide a high-level review of various approaches to scaling development within your organization. In large, complex organizations, traditional Agile practices such as Scrum do not work well with large, diverse, teams and products. This course will provide tools to your organization to maximize the value of its investments while supporting large products and teams.

Course Objectives/Learner Outcomes
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Evaluate a case study or real-world scenario to identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Define the characteristics of good agile governance and make recommendations around governance approaches.
  • Explain the implications of scaling in an organizational context and recommend a scaling approach.
  • Explain how networked teams can have transparency and organization.  Explain how people have the information to create their own empowerment.  Recommend organizational changes.
  • Describe how to transition from an underpowered to an empowered culture.
  • Explain the key techniques to drive delivery alignment and apply them.
  • Explain the importance of value modeling to drive improved customer outcomes.  Describe how to communicate value smoothly across the organization.

Credential
Upon completion of this course the attendee will be certified by the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) and awarded the ICAgile Certified Professional – Delivery at Scale designation.
