Course Description

This course will include key terms and concepts related to bias, self-reflection of own unconscious biases, strategies to mitigate implicit bias, and responding to implicit bias. It meets the requirement for implicit bias training in the State of Michigan by providing an interactive educational program that includes discussion with a live presenter.

By the end of the course, students will
  • Identify their own unconscious bias by completion of Implicit Association Test and self-reflection and
  • Apply strategies to mitigate and respond to implicit bias.


  • Online Coursework through Canvas
  • Scheduled Virtual Facilitated Discussion via Zoom
  • Students have 10 days for completion of entire course


  • After registration below (ADD TO CART), you will receive a confirmation email. You will then receive an email with Canvas login information for the Online Coursework the day your session begins.
  • Complete the Online Coursework (Implicit Association Test (IAT), Pre-Test, Video, and Post-Test) BEFORE participating in the virtual Facilitated Discussion.
  • Participate in the scheduled virtual Facilitated Discussion with a content expert.
  • Complete Evaluation AFTER the Facilitated Discussion.
  • Sign in to the CME tracker to recieve your Certificate of Completion with IPCE.

In order to earn your credit for this class, you will need to complete ALL of the Online Coursework before you can attend the Facilitated Discussion.
