Older adults were one population that continues to face marginalization in preparing for, engaging in, and accessing the appropriate resources in response to a pandemic crisis. Social work practice has introduced a variety of ethical challenges and this presentation will use the Code of Ethics to frame the impact of ageism in the global response to COVID-19, the lessons learned in caring for older adults, practice challenges in supporting individuals and their caregivers, and the health and economic implications for older adults within both community and facility based care.
