EMU Esports is hosting a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate virtual camp spanning four (4) days from the 3rd-6th of August. Students will be instructed on various aspects of the competitive side of Smash. From how a normal match proceeds, what the competitive ruleset is, and more! Students will also be familiarized with common terminology for smash. Players will be instructed on character archetypes, such as zoners, glass cannons, bruisers/heavies, grapplers, and so on. On the 3rd day, students will be entered into a tournament hosted by EMU where students will have the opportunity to play against current EMU students in a Double Elimination bracket. This tournament will be streamed on the EMU Smash Club’s twitch channel for family and friends to watch and cheer on their student. The final day will be a review of the tournament, and feature a traditional “VOD Review” by top players at EMU where they will talk to the class and give feedback based on their performance in the tournament.
