Course Title
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach

Course Description 
The 30-Hour Outreach Training Program provides basic safety and health information and education for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the Construction Industry.

The course is appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. The course also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint.

Course Materials
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes early on the first day of class to check in and pick up course materials.
  • Lunch is on your own.

Credits: 30 Contact Hours / 3 CEUs
Note:
  • The Outreach Training Program is a voluntary program and it does not fulfill the training requirements found in OSHA standards.
  • Employers are responsible for providing additional training for their workers on specific hazards of their job as noted in many OSHA standards.
  • Although some states, municipalities or others may require outreach training as a condition of employment, it is not an OSHA requirement.
  • The Outreach Training program is not considered a certification.
